Job Summary:
Reporting to the CCU Nursing Manager, the Critical Care Just In Time (JIT) nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served throughout the hospital as directed by nursing management. The Just In Time Nurse provides airway assessment and monitoring, cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, neurologic monitoring, and ongoing nursing assessment and intervention. The JIT Nurse must be prepared to handle all unexpected emergencies that occur throughout the hospital. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The JIT Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise. The JIT Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.
Minimum Qualifications:
â— Education
⚬ Graduate of professional accredited nursing school required.
â— Experience
⚬ ICU/CCU experience required.
â— Licensure and/or Certification
⚬ Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
⚬ BLS healthcare provider required.
⚬ ACLS required within 90 days.
