The Finance Data Analyst role provides support to Management using data analysis to help inform critical business decisions. This position will be located in Elyria, Ohio and support the Professional Tools finance and leadership team. The Data Analyst will function as a part of the Professional Tools Finance organization team and will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. This position will have direct communication with key functional leaders throughout the Professional Tools Organization.

This role has the flexibility of a remote work schedule for up to three days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
AS A FINANCE DATA ANALYST, YOU WILL:
- Streamline and automate data collection, processing, and reporting processes to improve overall efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Validate integrity of data utilized by the organization ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
- Review data setup for new products to ensure reliable reporting.
- Develop and maintain standardized financial reporting to ensure consistent and accurate presentation of financial data across the organization.
- Oversee analysis of product pricing and profitability.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and business operations, to gather requirements and translate them into meaningful data analytics and insights.
- Demonstrate initiative in making process improvements to drive value and increased insight into operational & financial performance.
- Work with management to identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
- Three (3) or more years of related experience in finance data analysis or financial modeling
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Possess the ability to communicate and present critical information to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a group environment.
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and analytical/technical skills.
- Self-confidence, ability to present positions in difficult situations.
- Self-starter with a continuous learning mindset.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- SAP/JDE and experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI or DOMO.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
