What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver position at Emerson?
The Receiver will r eceive all customer returns and accurately enters customer and product information into various business platforms including JD Edwards, 360 Insight, or any other required business platform. Moves material to different locations in the building(s), utilizing various forms of material handling equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, two-wheel dollies or transfer truck. Evaluates customer returns for warranty, credit or repair as determined by company and department policies.
This position reports to the Manager of the Factory Service Center. This position interfaces primarily with but not limited to the FSC Coordinator, Customer Service, Technical Support, authorized service centers, distributors, and end-users. This position must display professionalism and enthusiasm in representing Professional Tools. Must have the interpersonal skills to work effectively with the FSC Coordinator, Customer Service, Technical Support, and other departments within the company along with distributors and end-users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive all customer returns. Accurately log material into JD Edwards, 360 Insight, or other business platforms as required.
- Accurately ships tools to end users and distributors as required, utilizing JD Edwards, 360 Insight or other company ERP platforms as required.
- Evaluate the condition of tools; differentiate for credit, repair or warranty.
- Order, request, receive and transfer material as required.
- Label, refurbish and re-box tools for redistribution.
- Participates in daily 5S activities.
- Participates in Perfect Execution teams as required.
- Follows safety rules per company policy.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Troubleshooting experience.
- Forklift license or have the ability to obtain a forklift license.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- At least three ( 3) years of manufacturing experience, preferably in shipping/receiving/warehousing.
- Working knowledge of computer applications.
