Project Manager, Laredo, Texas $80,000 - $85,000
Immediate opening for a Project Manager for one of our Government contracts located in Laredo, Texas. Candidates must possess at least five years of recent (within the past seven years) experience in the management and supervision of building mechanical operations and maintenance for buildings. The ideal candidate must have a prior experience in managing the areas of Facilities Investment, Utilities, Environmental Services, Pest Control and IDIQ Maintenance/Construction projects.
SUMMARY
The Project Manager performs the lead role in planning and coordinating overall Contractor activity and ensuring contract compliance. Accountable for the entire scope, staff, resources, and the success of the contract. The Project Manager has complete authority to act for the Contractor in every detail during the term of the contract, and shall have the authority to exercise financial expenditures and controls, accept notices of deductions, inspection reports and all other correspondence on behalf of the Contractor.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the project's budget and profitability.
- Oversees assigned areas of the project's workload and productivity.
- Supports the development and maintenance of O&M plans and procedures.
- Prepares, and reviews costs, plans, estimates and schedules for construction, modification, maintenance, and repair related to the project.
- Administers company policies and procedures at the project site.
- Maintains productivity and efficiency metrics for the project.
- Assures all projects meet or exceed established Quality Standards.
- Visits the Contracting Officer's Representative to discuss project matters on a regular basis.
- Administers annual performance reviews of project subordinates.
- Ensures project site is in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Ensures all violations are reported and investigated.
- Ensures the Equal Employment Opportunity Program's goals and objectives are met.
- Authorizes and reviews purchases.
- Reports safety/environmental violations to the Safety/Environmental Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prior experience at a comparable level of responsibility in projects of similar size, scope, and complexity managing the areas of Facilities Investment, Utilities, Environmental Services, Pest Control and IDIQ Maintenance/Construction projects.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
