We are looking to add a Human Resource Generalist to our dynamic HR Team. This position will be responsible for providing support across all HR functional areas and is the go to HR person at a site. This role will also assist in HR administration and professional staffing for the corporate office. The HR Generalist will have the opportunity to participate in or lead company-wide HR projects or processes.
HR Generalist Duties Include:
- Function as the HR Business partner to site leadership and act as the first point of contact for employees on all HR topics
- Administer HR programs, initiatives and processes at the site
- Identify and implement initiatives to continually develop the culture and engage employees
- Foster effective employee relations; conduct workplace investigations, coach supervisors and assist in resolving employee issues
- Provide guidance on employee development and performance management
- Administer employee leaves by coordinating and communicating with leave vendor, employees and supervisors
- Lead staffing from active recruitment through onboarding
- Conduct employee offboarding process
- Support supervisors in managing employee time cards and attendance records
- Create and maintain employee files and other employment related documentation in a confidential manner
- Maintain and update data in HRIS systems accurately and timely
- Assist in the implementation and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Identify and implement continuous improvement measures
- Assist in HR administration and professional staffing for the corporate office
- Participate in or lead company-wide HR projects or processes
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to employees
- Run regular and ad hoc reports for KPI tracking and other analysis to proactively recommend opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the development of presentations and conduct trainings
- Assist with planning and coordinating plant events and meetings
- May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities to meet the needs of the business
- Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years HR experience
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Self-motivated with proactive mindset working with moderate supervision
- Good interpersonal skills and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent verbal communcation skills, with the ability to effectively present information , respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedural manuals
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Ability to solve on-the-job problems
- Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail
The HR Generalist may have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The HR Generalist may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
