Description:
Protein Science – Contract Research Associate with Seeds Regulatory Science group.
In this collaborative role, you will be a part of Seeds Regulatory Science team within the Regulatory and Stewardship group of Corteva R&D. More specifically, this position supports the goal of assessing the safety of proteins expressed in biotechnology products for submission to Regulatory agencies across the globe. This is accomplished primarily by working with a team of researchers generating data in regulatory science to confirm to regulatory agencies that our products are safe for human and animal consumptions, as well as the environment.
Responsibilities:

- Work under Study Directors for regulatory protein safety studies including but not limited to characterization and quantification of proteins in biotech products
- Support team of researchers generating protein biochemistry data in biotech products
- Provide protein analytical support through a team of researchers to other functional groups in seeds regulatory science
- Generate and present data to researchers in scientific format and templates
- General lab maintenance, upkeeping inventory, preparation of routine reagents
- Record keeping of inventory and research materials
- Follow quality management systems, GLP programs, and auditing teams to maintain compliance of protocols and reports
Requirements:
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific fields
- Proven lab skills and experience in designing and performing experiments: proven skills in protein biochemistry and characterization techniques, e.g. Western Blotting and immunoassays
- Some plant protein purification skills and experience would be beneficial
- Creative thinking and ability to work both independently and in team environments is critical.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, while meeting critical deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally by phone, email, and in-person with internal employees.
- Excellent organizational skills and record keeping ability.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Salary: $31.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
