Informatics Pharmacist

Overview

This position is for the Willow Inpatient team. Preferred skills:

• Willow IP certified IT analyst
• Build experience with Epic charges, mark up table management, shell codes, HCPCS Codes
• 340B System experience
• General Willow IP build experience with medication formularies, preference lists, IIDs, etc.

Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Build, test, and maintain the medication formulary in various clinical systems. Build, test, and maintain system ordersets/powerplans. Identify and resolve issues identified with pharmacy related systems in a timely manner. Develop, test, and implement system upgrades. Maintain Pharmacy Charge Master to ensure accuracy of data and pricing information. Develop training material and train end users on new functionality. Design, build, and test reports to support clinical and operational initiatives. Occasional Weekends or evenings may be required depending on project implementations. On call coverage required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy (BS or PharmD Degree), eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Georgia.
• Two years hospital pharmacy experience or PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency.
• Completion of an accredited PGY1 Residency and a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency is preferred.
• Previous experience working in an academic medical center environment preferred.
• Experience with Cerner Millennium is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required.
