What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Empire Digital Signs?
You will handle a variety of projects from tier 1-3 tech support via a ticketing system, installations, event rentals, traveling for on-site support and much more!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the Digital Signage Engineer with Digital Signage projects, process flow, documentation, and on-going maintenance of new/ current customers.
- Support, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate the usage of, but not limited to: Digital Signage Software, Android, Linux, and Window's Media Players, content, and all other components of the Digital Signage solutions.
- Knowledge of Android, Linux, and Windows error messages and issues and how to fix them.
- QA all upcoming projects (testing the performance of the software/ MP/ and all components, make sure fonts and spelling are correct, making sure all buttons work, etc)
- Managing the ticketing system by answering tickets, following the ticketing procedure, logging time, going on-site to support the issues (includes traveling in company truck)
- Support clients post installation
- Knowledge in network requirements, Networking, and scripting a PLUS!!
- Installing Outdoor LED's includes but not limited too pouring cement, knowledge in angle iron, electric, forklift, etc
- Installing indoor digital signage - Mounting TV's (digital menu boards, kiosks including upright and landscape, Video Walls, Media players, Room boards, etc)
- - HTML/ Coding/ Wordpress knowledge HUGE BONUS***
- Graphic Design experience HUGE BONUS***
- Knowledge of TeamViewer HUGE BONUS***
- Knowledge of FreshDesk is a PLUS!
Qualifications
-Hands-on experience with monitoring, Digital Signage diagnostic, and Digital Signage analytics tools
- 2 years of supporting multiple vendors and products is preferred
- Proven ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management.
- Highly Proficient in Excel
- Desire to continue to learn new technologies around displays, AV distribution, Outdoor LED, and Digital Signage infrastructure
- Knowledge in networks, TCP/IP and data protocols
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and is EXTREMELY organized!
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Motivated and Positive thinker
Physical Requirements
- Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Occasionally have to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Willing to travel for installations and events nationwide
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.26 - $22.00 per hour
