Summary
This person verifies product leaving and returning to the warehouse on a daily basis. Records breakage, and documents returned orders. Opens vehicle safes holding currency and checks. Inspects vehicles on a daily basis for damage and cleanliness. Also records mileage and fuel consumption. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verifies both the quality and quantity of product leaving the building.
- Verifies and records breakage and unsalable products. Documents items and identifies trends.
- Documents all overages and shortages per driver and truck.
- Thoroughly checks vehicles for cleanliness and damages on a daily basis.
- Documents all damage to trucks as well as evidence of unsatisfactory driver performance.
- Reports the findings to the appropriate driver supervisor.
- Reviews invoice discrepancies with individual drivers and determines if items warrant to be signed-off.
- Is responsible for loading and verifying the contents of same-day delivery orders.
- Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
Basic computer knowledge and Knowledge of Order Processing Systems
