Position Summary:
Provides a safe, comfortable operating environment by directing installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems.
DUTIES
1.) Identifies current and future maintenance requirements by establishing a good working environment with management, engineering, and production personnel, technicians, and other persons in a position to understand maintenance requirements.
2.) Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
3.) Ensures production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment
4.) Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans; discussing equipment needs and modifications with engineers/ management; coordinating activities of technicians and workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment.
5.) Provides heat, electric power, gas, and air by directing installation of modifications to, and maintenance activities on utility systems.
6.) Designs, implements, and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards.
7.) Directs maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
8.) Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality control personnel.
9.) Protects employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment. essential job results:
10.) Completes maintenance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results
11.) Maintains maintenance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
12.) Maintains maintenance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
13.) Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
Ability to use precision measuring equipment and gauge's.
Ability to make mathematical calculations that are necessary for proper tooling assembly issues.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as our production schedule requires
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking and actions.
Willingness to participate in a team environment and play an active role in identifying and resolving problems
Minimum H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
