Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Sales and Marketing to lead our sales and marketing teams. The role of VP of Sales and Marketing involves strategic planning, team leadership, and the execution of sales and marketing initiatives to meet business objectives. The role is pivotal for developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. The VP will oversee the sales and marketing departments, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission, and goals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and market presence with a proven track record in sales and marketing leadership, strategic planning, and team management.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities, threats, and trends.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement robust sales brand, product and market strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Goal Setting: Set sales targets, marketing goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales, marketing and customer service team.
  • Performance Management: Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment between the sales, marketing and customer service teams to ensure cohesive strategies and messaging.

Sales Management

  • Sales Strategy: Design and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Price/Margin Optimization.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key distributors
  • Sales Operations: Optimize sales processes, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure efficient use of CRM tools.

Marketing Management

  • Brand Management: Oversee the development and execution of brand strategies to enhance the company's market position.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, events, etc.).
  • Content Strategy: Ensure the creation of compelling content that aligns with the company's brand and attracts the target audience.

Budgeting and Financial Oversight

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to assess the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed.

Market and Competitive Analysis

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Product Positioning: Work with product development teams to ensure the company's products and services meet market demands and are positioned effectively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Product Development: Collaborate with product development teams to provide market insights and customer feedback.
  • Executive Reporting: Report to executive team members on the progress of sales and marketing initiatives.

Innovation and Adaptability

  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest sales and marketing technologies and methodologies, implementing innovative practices.
  • Adaptability: Be agile in responding to changing market conditions and customer needs

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and financial reports.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics.
