Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible for examining raw materials and finished products to ensure they conform to applicable customer and company standards and requirements. Quality Assurance Inspectors review products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality requirements are met. Responsibilities Perform receiving or incoming mechanical inspection, as required. Perform appropriate transactions in internal systems. Perform in-process inspections, as required. Maintain receiving or incoming inspection files. Retrieve part drawings or prints from paper files or electronic databases. Read and interpret part drawings and prints to verify measurements and other requirements. Interface with Purchasing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Inspection, or equivalent manufacturing or technical experience. Working knowledge of the use of hand inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and follow written or verbal instructions. This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. Desired Skills Knowledge and use of basic hand tools and measuring tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Basic mathematic skills. Strong attention to detail. Position requires extensive sitting and/or standing and good eye-hand coordination. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to read small text and handwriting. Manual dexterity required and able to perform repetitive tasks. Frequently required to stand. The employee must be able to visually examine parts and documents.
