Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing dental care to patients in a public health setting.This position works under the supervision of a dentist and dental office manager and is responsible for a variety of tasks, including :
- Driving the company vehicle to the scheduled facility
- Preparing patients for dental procedures
- Taking and developing dental X-rays
- Chairside assisting the dentist or dental hygienist
- Cleaning and polishing teeth
- Applying fluoride treatments
- Instructing patients on oral hygiene
- Maintaining dental records
Dental Assistant Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam or the national DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam
- At least two years of experience working in a dental setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- State Driver's License and clean driving record
Dental Assistant Benefits :
