We are looking for a Dental Assistant who is interested in a stable and exciting career working in the mobile dentistry field. Enable Dental teams bring dental care to underserved patients in assisted living facilities and skilled nursing homes. This is not a traditional, brick-and-mortar office! This is a stepping stone into the dental field which could lead to opportunities such as a lead assistant, clinical practice manager, and more! DA Schedule: Monday-Friday work days, 8:00AM-5:00PM (No weekends, no nights!)
Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Current CPR and First aid certificate
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- Full COVID-19 vaccination and boosted (or) Valid, documented exemption
- X-Ray license
- At least 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience (general dentistry preferred)
- Previously held a lead dental assisting position/ can take on a lead role (preferred)
- Top-notch communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Current drivers license - comfortable driving a small van - clean driving record
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist dentist and hygienist with common dental procedures such as (fillings, crown preparations, crown seats, extractions, dentures, and root canals)
- Chairside assisting
- Must be able to take free-hand x-rays
- Full COVID-19 vaccination with booster (or) Valid, documented exemption
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed
- Keep sterilization room clean and well-stocked
- Maintain autoclaves and units
- Provide compassion and understanding to all patients
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs
- Must be comfortable driving between senior living facilities to see patients
- Coordinate accepted treatment and lab cases
- Maintain an office that is stocked with supplies and products needed to make the days run seamlessly
- Travel with the dental team to each treating location helping to load and unload the van, drive when necessary
- Be familiar with compliance tasks and willing to do them weekly
- Strong sense of ownership
- Other duties as assigned
