We are recruiting an Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of genomics and therapeutics and participate in the development of a diverse therapeutic pipeline driven by a transformative core technology. The successful candidate will work well across multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze small-scale studies supporting the development of ETX101 and ETX201
- Serve as an engineer responsible for pre-clinical and clinical manufacturing for AAV projects and plasmid manufacturing; including upstream, downstream, fill finish, and drug device
- Facilitate Encoded’s technology transfer of the ETX101 and ETX201 manufacturing processes to non-GMP/GMP internal and external sites of manufacturing
- Provide person-in-plant support of GMP (clinical and commercial) manufacturing as required at internal and external sites of manufacturing
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop tools/templates to support tech transfer business processes
- B.S or M.S. in a relevant area of specialization (biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, biological sciences, chemistry, or biochemistry)
- At least 5 years of industry experience and 3 years in an MSAT/Process Development role strongly preferred
- Extensive working knowledge of modern laboratory procedures and knowledge of cGMP is a must
- Ability to independently design, execute, and analyze small-scale purification studies (column chromatography, tangential flow filtration) is a must
- Must be a team player and exhibit a willingness to meet project timelines
- Strong verbal and written skills are required as well as effective interpersonal, technical, and troubleshooting skills
- Outstanding planning, organization, and multitasking skills
- Experience with fill-finish operations is strongly preferred
