Endeavor Hotel Group is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as the General Manager of our Endeavor Inn & Suites location in Topeka, Kansas!
The General Manager is responsible for managing property and personnel operations on a day-to-day basis for the assigned hotel branch. This position will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and improvement with regards to guest services, employee performance, sales, property maintenance and profit control. This position further coordinates, directs and manages the staff and everyday hotel operations in order to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Personnel Management
· Recruits and trains qualified personnel to ensure adequate staffing
· Manages staffing schedules to ensure coverage for all hotel branch functions
· Provides staff with supervision including regular feedback regarding performance and behavior, working with human resources for any necessary corrective action
· Works to provide motivation as well as day-to-day direction for all location staff
· Ensures staff receive support needed to accomplish assigned tasks, following up with human resources as well as members of executive management as needed
· Works to promote and enforce company policy as outlined in employee handbook through positive communication and by exemplary performance and behavior at all times
Property Management
· Identifies and delegates tasks as necessary to ensure building, grounds and equipment remain safe and operate effectively for guests and employees
· Actively works to identify risks pertaining to building or grounds and works with management and location staff to follow through on necessary repairs or improvements
· Ensures property maintenance staff receive adequate oversight and direction
Guest Experience Management
· Provides on-site oversight on all matters related to guest experience and satisfaction
· Assists with providing customer service and fills in when necessary to ensure adequate service coverage
· Follows through completely on guest comments and concerns, ensuring guest needs are met and satisfaction is achieved
· Actively works to identify areas for improvement with regards to any items pertaining to guest experience and makes recommendations to executive management for any process or policy improvements
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent experience in related field
· Basic knowledge of hotel processes, and a working knowledge of best practices related to staffing and business management
· Customer service skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
· Skilled with attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, multi-tasking, customer service, self-motivation, organized, interpersonal, applied leadership, customer relationship building, time management, computer literacy, personnel management, employee management, setting and managing budgets efficiently, process improvement, initiative and sound independent judgement

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
