Job Description

WME Sports is looking for a Video Producer/Editor to create compelling video content across three areas of the business:

Production of content that can be delivered directly to WME Sports’ clients for use on their social and digital platforms; this can include hype videos, first-person diaries, day-in-the-life content, stylized features and more

Creation of videos for current clients to be distributed on WME Sports social media platforms

Development of concepts through to execution, of social and digital content for WME Sports’ properties clients

The right candidate is someone who is deeply rooted in the sports landscape, including at the player, team or league level. Key responsibilities will include:

• Reporting to the Senior Producer, this position is part of the team that develops the content strategy and execution plan - especially for video content - that services the three areas of the business above

• Production of recruiting videos for both prospective signing recruits as well as recently signed clients; divisions include football, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, coaching and action sports, and the distribution is across WME Sports and IMG Tennis accounts

• Working as a part of the content team that creates, produces, edits, programs, enhances and distributes social/digital videos to be posted by the clients

  • This especially includes oversight and creation of on-site content capture of clients both on and off the field of play

  • Candidates should have the ability to pre-produce, shoot, edit, and deliver full video packages on tight timelines

• Following signing targets on campus and, once signed, through training preparation for the respective sports drafts (consistent with NCAA regulations)

• Cut clips from pre-existing linear or digital footage across our network or acquired through client libraries (athletes or properties) for the purpose of social media distribution and monetization

• Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from agents, creatives, executives and clients

• Create and implement video graphics standards, audio mixing, as well as a process for the efficient upload of videos

• Partner with the broader Endeavor creative and post-production teams to help distribute content on all platforms

• Manage multiple projects - across athletes and properties clients - with constantly shifting deadlines

• Place a premium on optimizing of video content for best performance on social and digital platforms - SnapChat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram Story, IGTV & Tik Tok

Additional duties include:

• Create sizzle reels, pitch reels, case studies, marketing pieces and brand recap videos for internal and external stakeholders

• Work with Senior Producer to coordinate all aspects of video development, including pre-production, production and post, including writing, shooting, editing, motion graphics, selection of music, etc.

• Meetings and creative sessions with clients, both athletes and sports properties

• Maintain clear and consistent communication within the team

• Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years hands-on experience with video production & editing

  • Production for social and digitally-optimized content experience preferred

• A working knowledge of basic production equipment is required. This includes photo/ video cameras, lighting, and audio

• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder are mandatory

  • Graphic design experience, and basic Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Cinema 4D skills are a plus

• Strong knowledge of digital and social platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat), especially how to optimize or tailor video per platform

• Strong communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail are required

• Experience working in athletics is preferred

• Experience working in a fast-paced and hands-on environment while juggling multiple projects at once and maintaining organization of projects, including a willingness and ability to travel and work weekends

• Basic production experience working with common high definition cameras such as the Sony Alpha Series and other Mirrorless/DSLR cameras is a plus
