Job Description JOB SUMMARY As a senior engineer and mentor for the software development organization, this role is responsible for working closely with the business units and development teams to develop and extend new system capabilities as defined within the technical and/or functional specifications. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with Technical Leads and help lead and mentor a group of software engineers in defining, designing, building, managing and maintaining technical solutions in accordance with Endurance IT SDLC processes, standards and best practices Work closely with technical and product partners to help plan and manage delivery and acceptance of technical solutions with emphasis on delivering on schedule, scope, quality and in line with standards. Strong communication skills are required to be able to solution and translate requirements into technical artifacts. Work with Technical Leads to invest in required and technical capabilities to define, design, offer and maintain competing solutions in line with the product / program roadmap. Help define and design an extendible architecture for a portfolio of products. Work with product vendors / partners as required to solution the end deliverable. Work with Technical Leads to ensure that technical solutions are performing, reliable, scalable, portable and highly available in line with functional and non-functional quality attributes and SLAs (as defined during requirements / design phases) Partnering with the Technical Leads, assume technical ownership of whole or parts of a technical solution / application and supporting technologies, processes and platforms Conduct code reviews and validations for onshore / offshore engineers’ deliverables, and ensure that proper level (as required by SDLC) of design documentation, traceability and test coverage are in place for functional and non-functional requirements and use-cases Manage enhancements and changes, and resolution of incidents and problems for technical solutions in accordance with Endurance IT service delivery and support principles and SLAs. Strong knowledge of ITIL framework is required. Ensure that compliance and SDLC policies are adhered to ensure effective and efficient utilization of hardware, software and human resources TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS HTML, XML, XSLT, XSD,CSS, WS-* Web UI (Asp.Net or J2EE based portal) WinForm, Web Services (SOAP,WSRP, WCF) Ajax, Jquery & JavaScript SQL SSIS Cognos Strong database development skills (SQL Server) Source Control Management processes and tools (TFS)5 years development experience; 1 year leading project development team Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in integration architecture patterns, standards, frameworks or tools. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience is required with design and implementation of security standards and patterns. Strong understanding and extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, deploying and maintaining public facing, high performing and scalable enterprise web services and APIs. Advanced knowledge / experience is required in SOA, WCF, Web Services (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON) and various transport and security protocols. Experience and familiarity with WCF bindings options, hosting platforms, behaviors and transport types. Strong experience is required for leveraging source control, build and deployment management tools (e.g.: TFS, Nuget, etc.). Strong hands-on experience is required for employing Test Driven Design, with demonstrable experience in translating requirements into use-cases and into unit / functional test cases for TDD. Strong hands-on experience is required in designing and developing standards-based and portable web plug-ins, libraries and SDKs in support of integrating with partner / 3rd party applications. Demonstrated experience is required in designing and building testing facilities and applications that target end-to-end testing of APIs. Demonstrated experience in creating, modifying, debugging complex SSIS work flows Demonstrated experience in creating, modifying, debugging complex Cognos reports using Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Query Studio. Ability to understand dependencies between projects and applications at a high level that allows for proactive resolution of potential issues Experience is highly preferred in .NET 4 / WCF capabilities Experience is preferred in implementing or use of web services platforms that enable mediation for integration and security requirements for web and mobile open interfaces. Experience in application ownership and life-cycle management of enterprise web services, packaged applications, and supporting technologies and platforms. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree (preferably in Comp.
