As part of a team, this entry-level exempt position will perform general accounting duties which many include daily cash balancing, daily and monthly reconciliations, the preparation or posting of certain journal entries, accounts payable and receivable support, researching loan account payment questions and/or outstanding reconciling items, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
In this position, the employee will need to be proficient using several software applications including Fiserv LoanServ, Unifi, Spectrum, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Great Plains, Fedline, and Zions Anytime Gateway.
Duties include
This position will assist in preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, cash balancing, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and month-end close. All of these duties are time sensitive and many of them must be performed daily or at specific set times of the month. All of these duties support an accurate general ledger with a strong internal control environment, which leads to accurately stated financial statements. An accounting analyst works as part of a team in a professional work environment and must work in the office at least 50% of the time. Due to the daily nature of this position’s duties, this individual must be able to perform their duties.
