SUMMARY
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all equipment. All duties of the fleet coordinator are to be performed according to the company’s operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the worksite and to perform the tasks effectively. This position will provide assistance with the mobilization and demobilization of units and associated equipment. You will develop strong communications with all field personnel, managers and office staff.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, organize, and schedule authorized work as it relates to operations
- Monitor the GPS tracking systems and hardware to ensure functionality
- Perform rotational inspections on equipment to ensure field readiness
- Clean, equip and perform minor repairs to equipment to ensure field readiness
- Recognize and coordinate equipment repairs relative to the Frac Shack preventative maintenance program and regulatory compliance, where applicable
- Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance when third party contractors or off site are required
- Assign fuel cards and trucks to Operators where and when required
- Maintain the Corporate Fleet Site for record keeping of all relative maintenance and repairs
- Communicate with insurance company to update insurance equipment schedule, such as adding assets, removing assets, renewals and any relative updates as required
- Take direction from the VP Operations for disposing of assets according to company policy
- Take direction form the VP Operations when adding assets to inventory
- Communicate regularly with the VP Operations and Operations Coordinator regarding status of vehicles and other equipment assigned to client work sites
- Submit reports weekly including but not limited to conditions, break downs, accidents, and performance of the equipment
- Advise the VP Operations of quality improvements relative to the preventive maintenance program, to minimize expenses and maximize the useful life of related equipment
- Recommend reductions and/or additions to equipment and changes in level of service
- Administer the testing and inspection programs to determine quality, suitability, and compliance with the specifications for equipment supplied to clients
- Prepare and submit a preliminary maintenance report and budget for three months, six months, one-year, and two-years showing projected maintenance costs
- Purchase and maintain all supplies and maintenance needs within allotted budgets
- Keep accurate records relating to the above duties with prompt submission to the VP Operations
- Coordinate and/or assist with mobilizations and demobilizations
- Compliance with safety management requirements when working in and around Equipment
- Assist in any other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, must be organized and detail-oriented
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fleet operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Prefer some mechanical ability and experience operating machinery
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Always approachable and professional in approach
- Able to keep several projects/tasks moving forward at once; nothing slips through the cracks
- Capable of working in an unsupervised environment; proactive; doesn't wait for instruction
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to change.
