What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Planner position at Energy Jobline?
Mid Kent
£30k - £35k DOE
9am - 7pm Monday - Friday (Rotating shifts)
6am - 4pm Monday - Friday (Rotating shifts)
My client is looking to recruit a Transport Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, leading company, working in a busy and fast paced environment. With the company growing at a tremendous rate this a perfect time to take the leap and join a brilliant organisation.
Duties For This Transport Planner Role Include
Operating vehicles to maximise revenue, while meeting customer needs and adhering to legal restrictions on driver hours and other relevant regulations.
Updating the Transport Management System to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
Liaise with clients and customers and maintain strong relationships.
Tracking and planning customer deliveries and working to reduce late deliveries.
Logging all delivery failures and rescheduling deliveries and reporting to the relevant contact.
Putting together accurate reports and KPIs.
Supporting with new starter inductions.
Ensure that all vehicles are road legal with full MOT and service.
Putting together driver briefs to ensure they are equipped for their journeys.
Adhering to all transport regulations and compliance processes including driver tachographs and vehicle servicing requirements.
The successful candidate for the Transport Planner role will have/ be:
Previous experience in a similar planning role.
Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
Able to multitask and manage own workload.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Motivated and reliable.
