Job Description Summary
As a member of the Welding team, in the Weld Department, you will be an active contributor to the Steam Turbine Stationary component repairs, and Steam Path dimensional inspection. This role will require you to incoming dimensional inspections, major and minor diaphragm repairs, and other miscellaneous Steam Path Weld repairs
Our Welder position is a full-time onsite position at our Chamblee, GA facility. New hires will work our 1st shift work schedule of Monday-Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM ET during training. New hires will move to our 2nd shift work schedule of Monday-Friday 4:10PM - 1:00AM ET after training is complete. Overtime is available but not mandatory. Opportunities to switch shifts is based on business need and customer demand.

Your Role:
Prioritize safety above all else by maintaining a rigorous adherence to safety standards and processes, ensuring that safety risks and issues are identified, reported, and addressed immediately;
Follow Methods, Standards, And Work Instructions To
Repair turbines and generators by applying appropriate welding techniques: Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Shielding Metal Arc (SMAW) and Submerged Arc Welding;
Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes;
Set up and operate welding equipment: select appropriate materials, prep work piece in accordance with part geometry, properties of material and scope of repair;
Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.

Basic Qualifications(requirements)
High School Diploma/GED with 2 year of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or have successfully completed a welding co-op or course with a certified agent; or, Welding Technology trade school program with 1 year of TIG weld experience
Desired Qualifications
Diaphragm major repair experience
Accomplished skills in a trade with experience on Power Generating Equipment
Ability to understand blueprints and technical drawings;
Ability to understand and use precision measuring equipment;
Basic understanding of math related to repairs and manufacturing;
Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve problems;
Demonstrated ability to adapt, be flexible, and maintain enthusiasm during periods of change to schedule and repairs parameters;
Lean manufacturing experience;
Ability to focus on multiple projects and priorities at one time, manage time effectively, and allocate resources efficiently
