Position Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
- Performs welding, welder helper support, safety support, and manual labor support for in-house pipeline construction crew.
- Review blueprints, sketches, and specifications, and calculate part dimensions or read measurements for layouts and procedures.
- Keep welding equipment and machinery in good condition.
- Other duties may include equipment operation and serving as the crew’s project point person.
- Responds to all emergency incidents.
- Performs repairs on equipment, valves, pipelines and appurtenances.
- Maintains cleanliness and general appearance of facilities, surrounding work areas, office, assigned vehicle, and crew equipment.
- Must successfully complete skill verifications for all required duties.
- Accurately maintains records for required state and federal regulations and company procedures.
- Participates in all crew administrative duties.
- Utilizes computers, computer programs, e-mail and cell phones for internal and external functions.
- Actively participates in crew activities such as cost forecasting, operational and project planning, scheduling, problem resolution, work prioritization, time management, decision-making, vendor and material procurement.
- Performs work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- Level C requires a minimum of 0 – 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Level A requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Valid Oklahoma Drivers license, CDL a plus
- Current Oklahoma State Welder certification
- AWS/CWI is desirable.
- Hydrostatic testing experience.
- Experience in pipeline operation and maintenance.
- Mobile work equipment operation.
- Equipment transport using semi-tractor trailers.

- Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Driving, walking, and standing frequently
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
