The EAS Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial functions of EAS (ie Aerospace and Defense) lithium businesses within the Specialty segment. This position will report to the Senior Director Finance Specialty.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on adjusting / balance sheet correction journal entries required to close the monthly results.
- Oversee proposed entries and accounting treatments with entity controllers. (Tampa/Horsham, Longmont, Quallion & any new EAS sites)
- Oversee month-end results for Americas EAS entities and compare to forecast, budget, Y-T-D run-rate and prior year results.
- Manage monthly excel P&L management reporting from local EAS entities at Monthly close (line by line review).
- Manage impacts of one-off entries or unusual operations or customer activity.
- Oversee any significant business or P&L issues for sharing with Specialty Management team (both local and Corp Management).
- Oversee account reconciliations from local EAS entities on a scope basis each month and Quarter (Highlighting any high-risk areas).
- Oversee Corporate balance sheet review templates (Quarterly) for the Americas EAS entities and address any risks with local teams.
- Oversee local entity EAS forecasts with controllers to understand any material changes vs prior forecast and business trends. Determine if any forecast changes need to be made.
- Attend monthly EAS sales forecast review calls and assess positioning of top line volume forecasts.
- Provide leadership and direction on key business issues that arise from updated financial forecast to the EAS Management team (local & Corp Management).
- Manage the annual Budget process review Pre-Reval and Reval budgets and review the annual standard cost update for all of the EAS product segments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 8 Years of Experience overseeing Finance and Accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of government contracting and accounting.
- Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- CPA certification preferred.
