Job Summary
Engineering Allocation specializing in Quality Assurance is looking for a Quality Liaison/Supplier Representative/Vendor Represent in the Claycomo, Kansas City, MO area. The quality liaison is responsible to ensure the customer receives professional on site services and exceed the increasing customer’s expectations through the teamwork and healthy relationship with the customer. Promote harmonious relationships between the plant and customer. Take a proactive approach to resolve complaints in a timely manner. Communicate directly with customer to lead and track progress of the existing product.

Quality Liasion/Supplier Represent Responsibilities and Duties:
- On-site quality representation for Automotive Supplier Clients
- Launch of new programs following APQP standards
- Attendance at all Customer quality and warranty meetings
- Attendance at all Customer engineering and vehicle launch meetings
- Direct development with Customer quality and engineering teams in understanding quality concerns, data collection, measurement analysis, and root cause identification
- Direct involvement with Customer quality and engineering teams in establishing interim Containment Actions
- Direct involvement with Client quality and engineering teams to understand and establish Permanent Corrective Actions
- Communication with Client and Customer teams to present Client actions and countermeasures to address identified quality concerns
- Keep customer updated on a regular basis with regards to progress on launch activities
- Support customers in relation to technical, quality, product development and logistics inquiries relating to specific programs
- Support customers in the event of quality issues arising at the customer location, obtaining all relevant information and preparing a report to be sent to the client
- Support Client and Customer with root cause and permanent corrective action analysis
- Liaise with customer in order to improve communication between Client and its customer to resolve issues
- Coordinate any sort and/or rework activities internally or through a 3rd party company as required. Manage and record all activities and costs involved.
- Interact with Customer production teams and managers in the production environment
- Ensure departmental reports are timely and complete.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required :
Education:
- Required: High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Preferred: An Associate’s Degree in a technical area (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- Experience in Liaison Customer support with emphasis on supplying the automotive industry.
- Experience in Quality Assurance with emphasis on supplying the automotive industry.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 component manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience in Ford Motor Company Projects is a plus
- Working knowledge of quality systems(TS 16949/ISO9001) and APQP activities
- Working knowledge of PPAP processes and requirements
- Internal Auditor
Skills :
- Outstanding communication skills in both presentation and the ability to listen, understand and follow through on directions communicated by Client, Customer, and Engineering Allocation management teams
- Excellent rapport with customers and being sensitive to their requirements and expectations
- Must be a self starter who shows initiative and is able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have the ability to assess unusual situations and respond to them quickly.
- Must be proficient in basic computer programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to use, read and understand measurement tools related to the automotive quality field, such as: micrometers, calipers, scales, and force gages
- Problem solve and eliminate quality issues before they escalate into problems is key to be successful
- Professional attitude, appearance, communication, mannerism and respect for authority
- An understanding of the manufacturing process and a strong desire to learn
- Must exhibit high integrity and honesty.
