Job Description: Mechanical Maintenance Manager

This position will be responsible for providing leadership in developing, enhancing, and implementing initiatives focused on continually improving mechanical maintenance performance throughout the facility. Identifying opportunities and leading efforts to enhance operational efficiencies, mitigate risks and improve growth through maintenance projects.

Requirements/Qualifications: Process Control Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, project management, and strategic planning. Strong process improvement and problem-solving skill sets are required.
• Demonstrated results in the areas of strategic planning, change leadership, and project management required
• Experience in operations and maintenance leadership roles in heavy industrial manufacturing settings preferred. Line function experience is a must
• Proven people management skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities: Maintenance Manager

• In partnership with Senior Management, identify and drive strategic initiatives in the areas of mechanical maintenance to improve reliability and accelerate constructive long-term change
• Maintain heat map of critical mechanical maintenance items and plans for continual projects to address issues
• Develop and maintain the 3 to 5-year strategic plan for mechanical maintenance
• Manage and lead in the areas of mechanical maintenance and continuous improvement
• Work closely with the facility Electrical and Instrumentation Manager
• Indirectly lead and manage all hourly Union Mechanical craft employees.
• Ensure efficiency in mechanical maintenance planning and daily work task execution
• Manage salaried Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors and Planners
• Responsible for strategic project planning, staffing, and execution
• Identify, prioritize and develop projects that are not yet funded or fully realized
• Work closely with federal, state, and local governmental agencies to secure public funding whenever appropriate.
• Responsible for developing and driving cost-effective, strategic projects and business improvement opportunities.
• Act as the key subject matter expert regarding mechanical maintenance initiatives
• Develop solutions to business problems through in-depth analysis and developing innovative solutions
• Will manage outside suppliers and contractors on projects as needed
