Engineering Intern/ Co-op - Plymouth, MN - Spring/Summer 2021

Description

Provide technical support and assist Engineers with mechanical engineering work. Under the direction of an Engineer, this position will include a fuel gas flow measurement research project. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Site visits to perform inspections.
• Site documentation.
• Reviewing literature, drawings, reports, or other documentation related to project work.
• Assist consultants with testing.
• Using analysis software to perform analysis.
• Using programs such as MathCAD or Excel to organize and present calculations and data.
• Preparing technical reports to convey the results of analyses or inspections.

Qualifications

Computer Skills:

• AutoCAD, SAP2000, Excel, Word

Education Requirement:

• Completed 3 years of college in Mechanical Engineering program and maintaining a 3.30 GPA or higher.

Other Skills/Abilities or Other Qualifications:

• Strong Mechanic aptitude.
• Must have valid drivers license.

Work Experience:

• Any experience performing field investigations, mechanical design analysis, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, technical report writing and preparation is preferred.
