What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian/Janitor - Part Time position at England Air Park?
he England Authority is looking for candidates to work as Part-Time Custodians in our Airport Terminal. This opportunity includes both night and weekend shifts.
The ideal candidate will have verifiable custodial experience and ability to work independently to complete tasks in a large facility. The customer service-oriented position is designed to maintain the overall cleanliness of the Airport Terminal facility, including several restrooms.
The duties include maintaining and cleaning the Alexandria International Airport Terminal building, facilities, and grounds.
Duties Include:
- Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.
- Clean restroom areas and replenish paper supplies and soap as necessary.
- Sweep, vacuum, and clean carpet surfaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Mop, strip, wax, and buff hard floor surfaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Dust and polishes woodwork, furniture, and shelves.
- Clean windows, walls, blinds, and light fixtures.
- Maintain equipment and materials used in cleaning work, including hand tools and automated commercial cleaning equipment.
- Empty trash receptacles inside and outside the building to include restrooms, and other common areas.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Custodial or building maintenance experience.
- Ability to successfully complete initial and ongoing criminal background requirements.
