Engrain provides a holistic suite of mapping solutions built specifically for the real estate industry to provide stunning unit-level map visualizations that integrate with countless websites and property tech applications. Our revolutionary, unit-level map data and interactive visuals within our SightMap, TouchTour, and Asset Intelligence product lines allow both property owners and prospective renters to better ensure occupancy and drive revenue.
As a UX Designer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain’s growth and dynamic environment. The position focuses on ensuring the design and user experience of our products are seamless, meaningful, valuable, and intentional by shipping solutions to complex UX/UI problems. You will work across our Product Team, including our Product Managers and Product Engineers. Additionally, you will work with other Director-level team leads.
What You'll Do...
- Collaborate with senior experience team members to ideate and execute across projects and products helping the experience design team deliver high quality deliverables and hit UX and product outcomes
- Work through complex UX/UI product design problems from beginning to end; translating data-driven insights into concepts that form ground-breaking new features, and designing the detailed workflows, prototypes, and interactions required to make them a reality
- Articulate complex concepts and insights through the creation of journey maps, information architecture, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes
- Advocate for the user, leveraging research, observation, and data insights to inform innovative new opportunities while thinking holistically about the impact of your work on both the customer and the business
- Perform research to test your work, iterate on it, and validate the final result
- Partner with Product Managers to inform, define, and evolve product roadmaps
- Work closely and collaborate with Product teams as we build, iterate on, and ship ideas
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers
- Collaborate with designers across the organization to raise the bar of quality and continuously improve the design processes, principles, systems, and tooling
Requirements
What you offer us...
- 2 years of experience crafting digital products and systems, not just websites. You have helped ship customer-centric products that tackle real problems
- 2 years of experience with the entire product development process; from problem-solving and system modeling to detailed interface, to prototypes, to interaction design, visual, and service design
- BA/BS/BFA degree and/or Training in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban
- A passion for design that is simple, elegant, and focused on delivering creative, strategic, detailed solutions that always ladder back to user goals and business opportunities
- A strong voice for our users and their needs through research, empathy, and understanding
- Experience with design systems, responsive design, and WCAG guidelines
- Experience with design thinking methodologies, activities, and facilitation
- Proactive and solutions-oriented with a passion for troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extensive technical knowledge
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Excellent communicator with interpersonal skills to help people across the company understand the rationale behind your proposals and navigate complex nuances of design problems
- An ambitious spirit and ability to collaborate deeply cross-functionally including product management, engineering, research, data, and analytics

- Salary Disclosure for Colorado: minimum base salary of $80,000 to $100,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate’s experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
