What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production tech position at Enpro Inc.?
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring that the production process is run in a smooth and rapid manner, perform all plating, anodizing and chemical cleaning activity per work instruction and process job travelers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process parts in tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements
- Calculates the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts
- Removes parts from tank after specified time, rinses parts and immerse them in bath before finishing processing
- Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines
- Assist all line activities to Line Operator -2 to optimize throughput
- Record results on work order (dimensions, tank #, temperature, & volts, Time in / out of tank)
- Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line
- Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly
- Other duties as assigned
- Use required safety equipment (eye / ear protection, gloves, back brace when applicable)
- Shall adhere to all Safety & Environmental requirements
- Take daily direction from Supervisor & Line Operator-2 & follow all management assignments & instructions
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, wright and communicate effectively.
Experience Required : Previous Experience with Chemical Processing preferred.
Skills / Abilities : Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization and supervision.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Physical Strength : The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 35 lbs by oneself and above 35 lbs must be able to use a lifting device
