Job Description
Position Purpose:
Provide sales support in developing scopes of work, researching and estimating OEM/Aftermarket parts, repair recommendations and upsell additional services
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate cost estimates for OEM/Aftermarket manufactured parts
- Generate work scope and labor/material cost estimate
- Generate repair solutions and value-added improvements
- Interact with internal customers for cost development
- Report regularly on quote status
Education and Training, or Experience equivalent:
- 5 years manufacturing/job processing experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Read technical drawings and operate CAD programs to extract data required for estimating.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills required.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes: ie: machining, welding, assembly
- Estimate costs and submit bids for repair solutions.
- Self-motivator and excellent time management
- Ability to analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Ability to quote multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty and size at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible/adaptable to rapidly changing priorities.
- Intermediate to advanced computer and Microsoft Office software skills
Reporting relationship: Estimating Manager
Travel: 10%
Working conditions: Office Environment and Manufacturing Facility.
