What We Are Looking For
We are currently seeking an energetic, highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter to join us as an Environmental Chemist at either of our San Diego, Long Beach, Houston, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Bowling Green, Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis offices. This position will provide chemistry services support to various project teams. The successful Environmental Chemist will have demonstrated experience in environmental analytical chemistry methodologies and data validation using USEPA Functional Guidelines and DoD Validation Modules. Typical duties and responsibilities of this position include:
What You Will Be Doing:
- Managing project tasks associated with environmental data.
- Interface and coordination with the analytical laboratory for project-specific sampling events and requirements, data deliverables, and analytical methodology.
- Assist field personnel with planning sampling activities.
- Support the preparation of Uniform Federal Policy Quality Assurance Project Plans and Sampling and Analysis Plans.
- Perform review, verification, validation, and usability assessment of project data; and
- Implementation of corrective actions in accordance with specifications when deficiencies are identified.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Chemistry or equivalent
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office/Suite
- Strong knowledge of EquIS
- 5 years experience (preferably in the technical/consulting industry)
- Heavy degree in accuracy, organization, judgment, and attention to detail
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze/validate data, numbers, and cross reference with regulations and policies, and procedures.
