Position Summary

Ensolum, LLC is actively seeking a GIS Drafter to join our team in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to serve our local and regional clients across various locations. Job Description:

As a GIS Drafter, you will be expected to have a robust understanding of GIS and Esri software. You will design and implement geospatial applications for short- and long-term environmental projects. Responsibilities include employing technology to support project objectives, which may encompass desktop, web, and mobile applications for internal data collection and external client presentations/use. The role demands someone who can facilitate field data collection systems and seamlessly integrate field data into deliverables. The successful candidate will be self-driven, capable of thriving in a professional environment, and eager to learn and develop as a GIS professional within our intimate company culture. Exceptional communication skills are necessary due to the collaborative nature of the role, working with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

You will execute techniques to support GIS applications using a wide range of Esri products with a focus on ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1, Field Maps, and ArcGIS online. This will involve creating final deliverables, such as maps and databases, performing quality control checks, staying up-to-date on GIS applications, and routinely recommending and collaborating on enhancements to existing processes and deliverables.

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to develop reports using various software packages.
  • Strong knowledge of spatial analysis techniques (e.g., spatial reference systems, orthophotos, terrain classification, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Beyond the skills outlined in the job description, we seek candidates who are familiar or experienced in with the following:

- Experience with ArcGIS Online.

- Developing custom geoprocessing workflows and building tailored tools using ModelBuilder to increase productivity.

- Problem-solving skills with an emphasis on troubleshooting a wide range of software and hardware issues, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

- Database modeling, including concepts related to data cardinality, enabling efficient organization and manipulation of complex geospatial data sets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
