The Project Manager will lead automation projects of various size and complexity from initiation through validation and production release, leading the successful execution and launch of complex automation projects in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment.
This position is part of the Manufacturing Engineering department and will be located in Sunnyvale.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Be responsible for developing realistic project schedules, along with resource planning, risk management and measurable metrics to meet the project goals
- Communicate progress to partners and provide recommendations for mitigating risks or delays
- Coordinate interdependent tasks and deliverables with other functional groups, including Engineering, Product Transfer, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Facilities, EH&S, Supply Chain, Planning, Process and Sustaining Engineering
- Lead and run team meetings by creating agendas, presentations and action items. Document team decisions and follow up on action items and deliverables
The essential requirements of the job include:
Education and Experience (in years):
- Bachelor’s degree in field with 2 years of related work experience OR
- Master’s degree in field with with 0-2 years of related work experience.
Knowledge and skills:
- 5-8 years of experience with engineering projects and use of standard project management methodology, tools and/or software packages
- Experience using Project Management software (MS Project) to handle complex project timelines as well as fluency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
- Experience working under an FDA and ISO regulated Quality Management System
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- PMP certificate
- Experience with Visual Project Management
- Experience with Problem Solving Process (PSP) and Production Preparation Process (3P) methodologies
