Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Quality Inspector III with expertise in mechanical, visual, and electrical inspections for cable assembly products.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of job-related experience
Proficiency in using multiple measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, protractor, depth gauge, microscope, optical measuring equipment, simple scales or rulers, tape measure, and gage pins
Ability to read English and follow procedures or work instructions
Intermediate understanding of 2D Engineering Drawings
Experience/knowledge with soldering such as IPC-620 and J-Stds
Experience with use of optical comparators and/or CMM
Familiarity with a MRP (Manufacturing Requirement Planning) system
Knowledge of Random Sampling techniques
Ability to check dimensions in decimal and metric
Experience with WinSPC or other related database entry system
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Understanding of advanced engineering drawings
Experience with FAI (First Article Inspection)
IPC 620 certification
Test experience with Cirrus or other related test equipment such as ohm meter or Power supplies
Experience in shelf life and hazardous material labeling
Job Responsibilities:
Complete mechanical, visual and electrical incoming, in-process, and final inspections for the cable assembly and existing legacy products
Maintain Quality records using Quality data collection software or logs
Fill out records for suspect material
Transfer product using ERP system
Support RMA/MRB activities as required
Perform inspection in three or four areas of operation
Conduct FAI (First Article Inspection)
-Solve problems and concisely explain a finding using photos, PowerPoint,data
Preferred Skills:
-Basic knowledge of ohm's law
-Knowledge of Lean techniques
-Capability to create basic programs for a Comparator and/or CMM
Pay Details: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
