Summary: Seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing large automated factory equipment, using Solidworks, and collaborating with Electrical and Software Engineers.
Requirements:
Extensive experience with Capital Equipment - Large Automated Factory Equipment
Proven history of designing large one-off equipment
Proficiency in Solidworks is essential
Solidworks PDM is a must-have
A degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design of automated and semi-automated manufacturing test and assembly equipment
Experience working alongside Electrical and Software Engineers is necessary
Must have Design Equipment experience
Responsibilities:
Develop thorough designs that require minimal rework during assembly.
Assist technicians and solve problems that arise during the build process.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, mechanics, fluid, thermal and heat transfer which influence equipment design
Familiarity with electrical machine controls and software to interact effectively with those groups is a plus
Knowledge of robotics, vision inspections, control pneumatics, high-pressure test pneumatics, thermal control systems, hydraulics, and various manufacturing processes such as resistance welding, laser welding, pressing, soldering, crimping, heating are preferred.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
