JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for the line and service operations of the EAL Distribution Large Construction Organization. Interfaces with a number of operational, customer service and financial functions in the execution of their daily activities. This position is located within the EAL Contract Compliance Organization and will support those day to day operational responsibilities. Responsible for providing safety leadership, overall guidance, direction and supervision to all department personnel.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and provide leadership for all SAFETY initiatives and ensure compliance with all safety rules and guidelines.
- Support the contractors working across the state and manage the current contracts with these resources.
- Provide support to accomplish the daily initiatives of the state. Maintain and oversee the productivity and results of this group.
- Set the standard for customer service excellence.
- Manage resources and the budget for compliance with Company goals and objectives.
- Serve as support for the existing contract compliance workgroup. Assist the construction manager with work assignments and developing relationships with all contract partners.
- Understanding and maintaining the current distribution contract systems as well as the accurate input of contractor invoices.
- Ensure that systems and processes are in place to support the proper flow of accurate data and information to both internal and external customers. Ensure Company's Service Standards are understood and utilized.
- Utilize Company's Performance Planning and Review procedures to ensure all employees have developmental plans to encourage the growth and success of each employee. Provide training and coaching to the work group to ensure all employees are familiar with the Company policies and procedures required to serve customers and comply with all applicable codes for designing and maintaining electrical distribution facilities.
- Be available to provide support to the local networks during storm restoration. Have a thorough knowledge of resource needs and planning to provide support during storms.
- Work with both external and internal customers to meet critical commit dates and to provide accurate and timely information.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Desired: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum experience required of the position
7 years field experience (distribution operations or related experience).
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Knowledgeable of Entergy's policies and procedures, safety rules, distribution installation standards and guidelines. Proven demonstration of Safety Leadership qualities. Strong computer skills are a must. Ability to work both independently and with others. Must be a self-starter, dependable, and have the ability to plan and organize. Must have the capability to run this department as a business and to constantly identify and implement improvements. Some knowledge of meter terminology is mandatory. A good working knowledge of the transmission and distribution systems. Possess a working knowledge of Excel, Word, AM/FM, and DFM. Access, AIS, and CIS are desirable but not required initially. Good written and oral communication skills. Effective management and leadership skills.
