Shift Leader

Entourage Yearbooks is an innovative full service yearbook publishing company. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team.

The Shift Lead will be responsible for accurate data reporting in an effort to help our Production Team improve systems and maintain an efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive productivity, prioritize projects, and monitor the quality of the work. Experience in printing or manufacturing a plus! Fluent English/Spanish a plus!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will work with the production manager/Binding manager to establish priorities and demands pertaining to workflow, employees and equipment
• Preparing job paperwork and ensuring all materials, samples, and instructions are available prior to production.
• Reviews and relays job requirements to employees
• Sets-up materials and equipment for most efficient production
• Trains employees to ensure job skill proficiency and compliance with company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery such as folders, symthe sew, cutters, binding/gluing machines, preferred but will train right person
• Skill in making adjustments using hand tools (i.e., wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives)
• Machine feeding and delivery of product; stacking and organizing materials
• Reports and maintains records.
• Solicits management approval on all changes or deviation from the original work order as quickly as possible to ensure continued production without jeopardizing the order
• Conducts QC checks as per standard operating procedures, ensuring quality of work is per customer expectations
• High accountability for ensuring a safe, clean, organized and respectful work environment
• Facilitates transitions between shifts through exchange of pertinent information and reduce downtime
• Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance
• Other duties may be assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in machine operation.
• Experience in lead or supervisory role preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Overnight shift

Work Location: One location
