What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Consultant - Gas Programs position at ENTRUST Solutions Group?
Entrust Solutions Group is looking for a Senior Consultant – Gas Programs, in this role you’ll provide senior technical consultancy on natural gas distribution and transmission projects and relay client and industry standards and best practices to staff as dictated by their qualifications and experience.
The Senior Consultants duties include guiding team members in adhering to client requirements, advising on the viability of alternative approaches and acting on the client’s behalf for plan reviews. They provide QA/QC and input into application of standards. The Senior Consultants duties also include the review of conceptual plans and conceptual level cost estimates for both natural gas distribution and transmission line projects.
Responsibilities:
Conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Will mentor designers, engineers or technicians on assigned work. The Senior Consultant will provide support in client field meetings and site visits as needed.
The Senior Consultant will have a working knowledge of the provisions and intents of client, local, and national design codes and standards. They provide input into constructability and accuracy of natural gas projects.
The Senior Consultant will review technical drawings, specifications, and materials for the systems and facilities or for other work requested by the Client. They will cooperate in the exchange of information and coordinate the activities of other consultants and Client staff whose work impacts or is impacted by their work. They will review and comment on drawings, specifications, and other documents and data prepared by other consultants and Client staff.
The Senior Consultant will have the ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) and work effectively internally and with their counterparts in the Client organizations. They will be required to analyze technical problems and use design knowledge and experience to solve complex problems in new, unique and cost-effective ways.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 20 years of experience, including quality assurance and quality control positions, in the natural gas sector.
- Experience with various CAD platforms and plan markup software.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable and effective working independently, as well as leading and working in teams across functional groups that vary from fundamentally technical to non-technical.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
