Job Summary:
The Senior Manager Support Specialist builds strong relationships with our asset management partners to provide exceptional operational support. Facilitate trainings on best practices to maintain model portfolios and trade within the Envestnet platform. Leverages experience to participate in platform enhancement projects and solve complex operational issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide training, demonstrations, and support related to the Envestnet platform utilized by asset managers to maintain model portfolios as well as trading via the Manager Console
- Explain operational process flows, best practices and responsibilities to asset managers
- Participate in platform enhancement projects as a SME to ensure that end result will be beneficial to Managers
- Participate in business partner acceptance meetings to ensure that externally traded portfolios have been vetted thoroughly from an operational perspective
- Review new manager setup documents for accuracy, relevance and completeness for submission to setup team for prompt platform availability and retain documentation in a centralized location for periodic review and auditing.
- Draft Manager-facing communications related to releases as well as quarterly newsletter information
- Establish and maintain strong and supportive relationships to foster a cooperative environment in which to build and maintain strategic partnerships with our investment managers.
- Participates in root cause analysis to correct and/or prevent deviations in processes and workflows.
- Proactively communicate topics such as model validation delays and other trading operational concerns with asset managers
- Provide insight and training related to asset managers and strategies to new internal department personnel
- Collaborate with internal departments when warranted to assist in solving complex trading issues
- Perform daily duties, including problem resolution using standard procedures and precedents
- Assist with solving issues that are without procedures or precedents and escalates to department manager when warranted
- Participates in special projects/other duties as assigned by Manager or other senior management personnel
- Research complex issues and provide necessary guidance to internal members and managers.
- Train newly hired team members and mentor junior Manager Support staff.
- Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
- As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent work experience required
- 2 years of experience in the financial services or related industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have working knowledge of the securities industry, various types of investment vehicles, and trading methods
- Understanding of quality control methods
- Demonstrate skills to critically analyze information and make recommendations
- Demonstrate ability to be able to adjust to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Envestnet operations experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools; Excel proficiency
