Environmental Chimney Service in Arden, NC is looking to hire a full-time Fireplace Gas Technician to service and install various systems and appliances. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIREPLACE GAS TECHNICIAN

As a Fireplace Gas Technician, you keep our customers warm and comfortable! Using your mechanical skills, you spend your days servicing gas fireplaces and chimney systems. When starting a new job, you thoroughly inspect the existing system to find and diagnose any problems, making small repairs when possible. You determine what parts need to be replaced or if a brand-new unit is needed. Then, you check product availability and discuss timelines and pricing options with the customer.

After repairing a system or installing a new one, you make sure it works before teaching the customer how to use it. Before leaving, you thoroughly clean up your workspace and check to make sure that every chimney system is properly venting. Motivated to excel, you do whatever it takes to get the job done right the first time. You find satisfaction in solving problems and fixing appliances, and you take pride in keeping our customers warm throughout the winter!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIREPLACE GAS TECHNICIAN

• Knowledge about gas systems
n
• Experience transporting and operating heavy equipment such as aerial lifts

• Ability to safely climb ladders, scaffolding, and roofs
n
