Position Title: Accounting Assistant
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Exemption Status: Exempt
Position Summary
The primary function of the Accounting Assistant is assisting the Chief Financial Officer be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting functions necessary to ensure fiscal responsibility on behalf of Environmental Enhancements which includes, but is not limited to, oversight of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, job costing, tax reporting, all financial record management, financial statement creation and reporting in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use bookkeeping database, spreadsheets and formulas, and software
- Post financial transaction using appropriate computer software
- Receiving and recording checks and apply to right accounts
- Enter debits and credits into software applications and databases accurately
- Produce a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets
- Checking for accuracy in reports before sharing with team
- Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
- Assist CFO to compile information for AR and AP
- Follow up with phone calls if billing questions arise and help resolve discrepancies
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems
· Proficient with Excel spreadsheets and formulas
· Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus
· Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with executive team and other employees
· Ability to multi-task, manager interruptions, establish work priorities, handle stress, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment
· Be detailed oriented

Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
- Strong academic credentials, including an advanced degree in finance or a related field, are preferred.
