The role of Business Intelligence Analyst III is to turn data into predictive and actionable insights to support and drive the strategic goals of the enterprise. The BI Analyst II assess requirements, design, develop, and support enterprise dashboards and reports. This person is responsible for working with the manager responsible to identify, document, and report data quality issues as well as working with Information Technology teams or business partners to provide resolution. This employee partners with business unit leaders to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems and achieve desired results. Additional responsibilities include: preparing detailed specifications from which reports will be written, competency to work at the highest technical level of all phases of data analysis and report development activities. This employee will provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/developers.

Primary Duties:

• Works with Provider Education, Information Technology and business leaders to develop innovative and effective approaches to identify and solve highly complex business analytics problems. Develop actionable insights and recommendations for the

• Seeks understanding and learns about Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and other Quality programs
• Engages with coding and billing teams to identify data intersections with analytics, PQR, DocEd, RCM, and Finance
• Presents findings in easy-to-understand terms for the business both verbally and in written presentation
• Develops and owns relationships with business partners, working with them to optimize the effectiveness of our analytics

Qualifications

• Highly proficient in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
• Highly proficient using data visualization techniques and tools (i.e., Tableau, Excel, MicroStrategy)
• Highly proficient in selecting and applying appropriate statistical analysis, explanatory, and predictive modeling to complex
• Experience with ad-hoc analysis of large data using Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or Power pivot/Power Query
• Systems thinking approach with general understanding of ETL and data
• Proficiency in business analytics, with demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from the data and “put brains to the numbers”
• Capable of working independently, with minimal guidance, while achieving successful results

Education

• Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Statistics, and 5 or more years of relevant data/business lead analyst experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

• Strong SQL and programming skills
• Strong Tableau skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• In depth knowledge of medical coding/RCM in the healthcare field (preferred).
