Job Title:   Computer Systems Analyst I

Job Description:
 
We are looking for a talented Computer Systems Analyst 1 to analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems and to implement and improve computer systems. They will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. They may analyze or recommend commercially available software.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Consult with managers to determine the role of IT systems in an organization
  • Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits so that management can decide if IT systems and computing infrastructure upgrades are financially worthwhile
  • Devise ways to add new functionality to existing computer systems
  • Design and implement new systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization
  • Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected
  • Train the systems’ end users and write instruction manuals
Job Requirements:
  • BS degree or 5+ years of direct equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Computer Systems Analyst working on design and development of new and/or modified system solutions that; incorporate software, data, network, and/or hardware requirements to meet mission requirements and improve operational efficiency of customers, Consider the current and target IT architectures, the Products Baseline, and products recommended from the Technology Insertion Program, and generate a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) to implement the solution
  • 3+ years of relevant experience within an Enterprise O&M environment
  • IAW DOD 8570.01M; an IAT II baseline and relevant computing environment certification
  • Possess one of the following active certifications; Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2016, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance. Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to get a CI Poly is preferred
Special Requirements:
  • Up to 10-15% surge travel may be required
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently and follow through with requirements with minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Must be able to adjust to emergency situations and changing priorities.
  • Must be composed and effective under the pressure of heavy workloads, time sensitive demands, or changing conditions, while remaining tactful, diplomatic, considerate of views of others, effective as a team player.
