Job Description:
The Pricing Analyst applies knowledge of government contracting, federal regulations, and industry standards to proposal pricing and proposal development. In addition, support on a limited basis, project cost analysis for Department of Defense (DoD) RFPs and Task Orders. Duties include but are not limited to cost and pricing analysis, development of pricing strategies, and supporting the development of budgets and other cost-related information in conjunction with program operations during the transition of awarded contracts.
Job Responsibilities:
Bids and Proposals: Prepares pricing for DoD proposals based upon firm fixed price, cost plus, and time and materials type contracts to include bidding direct and indirect costs, including subcontractor cost burdening. A familiarity with cost narratives, FAR and DCAA regulations, and cost policies required. Experience pricing and/or costing Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) projects is a requirement. The candidate will be required to participate in the preparation of cost volumes for large-and small-scale proposals.
Project Analysis and Control: Provides project analysis and control to support the transition of contracts over to the operations department during project and program kickoffs. Duties include completing and disseminating project cost deliverables and preparing initial financial budget data for projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree required; preferring Business, Accounting, or Finance
- 3+ years of experience as a Pricing Analyst preparing pricing proposals, cost narratives, and cost reports
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset required; agile in working in multiple worksheets, workbooks, linking, formula writing, and referencing
- Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Prior experience with pricing software applications is preferred
- Experience and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR); Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) cost policies; and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) required
- Understanding and working knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Department of State (DoS) travel regulations highly advantageous
- Knowledge and application of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), cost and schedule control principles, Certified Cost and Pricing Data, and best practices desired
- Experience with a government contractor in the DoD sector highly desired
- Ability to work independently and follow through with requirements with minimal guidance or supervision
- Must be able to adjust to emergency situations, strict deadlines, and changing priorities or requirements
- Must be composed and effective under the pressure of heavy workloads, time-sensitive demands, or changing conditions, while remaining tactful, diplomatic, considerate of views of others, and effective as a team player
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a comprehensive background check
