Newton is seeking a Marketing Associate, Investment Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, execute and report on marketing campaigns for North America (across channels) that demonstrate a keen audience-centric focus and deliver on key business priorities
Act as a conduit for the Head of North America Marketing Communications and London and US-based marketing teams, working in close collaboration with the Head of Channel Marketing
Develop strong stakeholder relationships (particularly with the business development, client and consultant teams) and work effectively with other colleagues in Newton and BNY Mellon to achieve North American (and global where appropriate) marketing goals and strategy
Work with the Head of North America Marketing Communications to develop and execute on high-touch events throughout the year (and across the US)
Work closely with the compliance team to ensure a robust marketing/ compliance/ performance working framework and to ensure that all materials are compliant
Develop creative and innovative solutions to promote the Newton brand and generate awareness in a cost and time-effective manner using the full marketing toolkit
Leverage owned, earned, paid and shared media to develop integrated campaigns and in order to build Newton’s brand in North America
Work in close collaboration with the Head of Digital Marketing to utilize the appropriate tools to support campaigns and deliver a seamless UX
Track and report marketing campaign performance, reinforcing a test and learn approach to ensure ongoing refinement
Collaborate with the content team to ensure materials and thought leadership are developed to appeal to North American audiences, identifying opportunities for leverage from other markets or specific items tailor-made for the region
Develop successful relationships with our North American distribution partners and 3rd party suppliers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of work experience required.
5 years of related experience preferred
Skills required:
Experience in an institutionally focused channel marketing role or related position within an asset management environment
A solid understanding and experience of the North American institutional landscape and the regulatory backdrop, in addition to a knowledge of the North America intermediary and wholesale market
Proven success in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, including gaining buy-in to proposals
Experience of delivering successful marketing campaigns and an understanding of the end to end approach
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the digital marketing landscape and how the function integrates with the campaign process
Experience of generating awareness for a similar business in its early growth stages would be advantageous
Experience of working with creative and media agencies
A self-starter with a willingness and determination to drive projects through
Knowledge of the US investment landscape, and hunger to develop a full understanding of Newton’s distribution arrangements
Strong understanding of capital markets and investment management-related data
