Hours Worked: Usual hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Hours need to be flexible to meet the needs of personnel, customers, and external entities, and to achieve organizational outcomes. Position requires semi-regular travel or overnight stays.
What You Will Bring to Our Team: The Director of Finance is a crucial position that aids our employee-owned company in responsible decision making based on accurate and efficient financial reporting and analysis. An individual in this role should enjoy analyzing and reporting on data and have a keen eye for and prompt attention to detail. This role makes up a portion of the senior leadership team at EON, Inc. and is a main player in managing our ESOP.
- A Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, business, accounting, or closely related field.
- Four (4) years of professional experience working in a financial or accounting field.
- Two (2) years of experience in a management or supervisory position.
- Valid driver’s license and meet qualifiers to be insured by EON, Inc.’s vehicle insurance provider.
- Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies.
- Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the physical assessment.
- Proficient in MS Office and financial management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, business, accounting, or closely related field.
- Five (5) years of professional experience working in a financial or accounting.
- Previous accounting software (Netsuite) experience/development.
- Knowledge of and experience with contract analysis and negotiation, accounting systems and software, debt collection.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.
The Director of Finance is responsible for the company's long-term financial health and growth. They establish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going and ensure appropriate practices to increase efficiency. The Director of Finance is responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments.
- Oversee and lead annual financial planning process ensuring the senior management team and board of directors are kept abreast of the organization’s financial status.
- Review and approve all financial statements, financial plans and forecasts, and project capital expenditures.
- Oversee ESOP plan administration and Financial Management.
- Provide supervision to all finance employees.
