What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Recruiter position at EON, INC?
The Recruiter will support all stages of the applicant and new hire processes from candidate sourcing to new hire entry and initial orientation and training of new hires. This includes coordinating job postings, conducting interviews, attending career fairs and managing the applicant tracking system. The Recruiter will also track and report specific recruiting and hiring metrics, as well as helping develop, implement, and improve HR systems and processes.
Benefit Category: Full time, Salaried/Exempt (Administrative Exemption). Benefits eligible. ESOP benefits upon meeting plan entry requirements.?
Hours Worked: Full time; Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm some flexibility required to attend various recruiting and HR events. Some minor travel required.
Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience working in a related field.??
- Valid driver’s license and meet qualifiers to be insured by EON, Inc.’s vehicle insurance provider.??
- Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies.?
- Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description.??
- Able to read and write in English.??
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience with recruitment and hiring.
- Knowledge of applicable employment rules, regulations, and laws.??
- Experience working in the health care industry is a plus.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.?
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.?
Specific Responsibilities
Oversee the company recruitment and marketing efforts.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Place employment ads, postings and manage all job boards (i.e.: really, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.).
- Obtain a current position description for each position needing to be filled and collaborate with hiring personnel to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Schedule and conduct interviews. Oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Maintain appropriate communication with hiring personnel, applicants, and new employees.
- Assist with maintaining a Marketing budget for each calendar year.
- Keep current with sourcing strategies and industry trends, maintain effective relationships with social and professional networks to source qualified candidates.
- Manage applicant tracking system and maintain recruitment and hiring metrics.
- Strategize, coordinate, and implement cutting-edge recruitment marketing techniques, including but not limited to job fairs, open interviews, high school and college presentations, social media and various advertisements.
- Maintain knowledge of and be prepared to discuss EON as an organization, the nature of the position, the position’s wage range, benefits, etc. This includes supplying any necessary documentation on benefits, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), wage, etc.
- Work closely with HR Generalist to develop, maintain and continuously improve the applicant tracking system, HRIS, and HR processes.
- Represent EON, Inc. at career fairs and hiring events.
Coordinate, and conduct orientation and initial training of new employees.
- Schedule and conduct the initial orientation of new employees. Provide direction and follow up so that each new employee has been given clear and specific expectations about what they need to do to successfully complete their orientation.
- Prepare appropriate orientation materials for all new employees before their orientation date.
- Accurately enter all newly hired employees into the HR Information System (HRIS) system.
- Conduct background checks and employment verifications and reference requests as needed.
- Review recruitment and orientation materials (forms, policies, handouts, etc.) and update at least annually to ensure materials are applicable and that the process is efficient and meeting the needs of the company and its employees.
- Collaborate with Payroll Department to ensure the timely entering and payment of new employees.
Administrative duties.
- Attend and participate in department and committee meetings; this includes completing projects and assignments requested by the Committee Chair.
- Attend and participate in Recruitment and Retention Committee. This includes attending meetings on a regular basis, participating in the coordination of events and promoting committee initiatives within the organization.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and orderly employee files.
- Order supplies and swag as needed for the HR department.
Other duties
- Use the most appropriate means of communication.
- Maintain employee and client confidentiality.
- Work in a safe and responsible manner using good judgment when participating in physically exerting activities to prevent and minimize injuries and accurately reporting near misses and incidents in a timely manner.
- Act in an honest, ethical and professional manner in all aspects of fulfilling the requirements of the position and at all times while on duty (both on and off EON, Inc.’s property). Use EON, Inc.’s equipment, tools, supplies, etc. for work purposes only and to use work time in an efficient and effective manner.
- Represent EON, Inc. by active participation at professional organizations and community activities.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Provide quality assurance oversight as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
