Our client is one of the largest securities firms and investment banks in the nation. They provide innovative financial solutions through our Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Futures and Advanced Clearing & Prime Services divisions. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California with over 100 offices and more than 80 correspondent offices, our commitment to providing relentless, customized service is the foundation of our consistent growth. Our Compensation Control group is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join our growing team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Review and analyze payroll data and reports for accuracy and resolves discrepancies to ensure accurate posting

· Review and calculate commission pay and adjustments to the final payouts to employees

· Review incentive payout and communicate with senior management to ensure these are approved and paid timely

· Maintain process documentation of payroll and payroll-related activities

· Post payroll related entries to the general ledger as part of month end close

· Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

· Perform other duties as required and assigned

Experience and Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· Minimum 2 years of corporate accounting or payroll accounting experience

· Strong analytical and accounting skills and knowledge

· Strong logical and critical thinking skills

· Highly meticulous, well organized, detail oriented and accurate

· Experience with Great Plains software preferred
Proficiency in MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

  • Accounting: 3 years (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)
