Event Partners Inc. (EPI) is a leading event staff provider in the Southeast.  Servicing clients in the Sport and Entertainment industry since 2005, EPI provides quality parking, access control, bag checkers, ticket takers, ushers, guest services, premium attendants, front of house and back of house event staff for numerous athletic events, concerts and special events throughout the South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia region any beyond.
 
The Manager of Special Events will be responsible for directing and managing EPI’s Special Events throughout the country.  This Individual will build up a team of reliable workers to travel to special events as they arise to ensure successful operation of those events. 
 
The Manager of Special Events will also have day-to-day responsibilities and oversight of our staffing operations across our Central Region.  This includes events and clients in Myrtle Beach, Florence, Columbia, Rock Hill, South Carolina, Charlotte, North Carolina, and oversight and support of operations in Augusta, GA.  Duties will include direct oversight over staffing operations and team members and building up the staffing pool of employees at each area.  This role will also support EPI’s Operations across NC, SC and GA area as needed depending on event schedules across our footprint.
 
 Primary Duties and Tasks:
  • Develop a team of employees to travel to Special Events as needed across the country.
  • Oversight of accounts across the footprint of Myrtle Beach, SC, Florence, SC, Columbia, SC, Rock Hill, SC, Charlotte, NC.
  • Support and oversight of operations in Augusta, GA.
  • Additional support of operations across EPI’s footprint as needed and determined by event calendar.
  • Actively search for new business opportunities that EPI can solicit.
  • Hold supervisor and staff trainings and meetings to ensure staff stay up to date on expectations and relevant topics.  
  • Manage event staff from check in through check out during events, ensuring all positions are staffed accordingly.
  • Manage and control uniform and equipment inventory to include shirts, jackets, radios, vests, Golf Carts and other equipment as assigned.
  • Organize employee payroll and billing sheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned by VP of Operations or Owner.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  Degree in Sport Management, Business or Human Resources preferred.
  • 3-5 Years of progressive experience in the Event Staffing/Management field.  
  • Experience managing a large team of part-time staff is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). 
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization skills a must.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to events, up to 7-10 days at a time.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must display a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
  • Must always maintain a neat and professional image.
 
This position will report directly to the VP of Operations and Owner.
 
This position should be based out of the Columbia, SC area.
